Below are the answers to some of the most commonly asked questions regarding our policies. Please click the toggle button to see all the question and answers listed. If you have a question that is not listed, contact us and we’ll be glad to answer it for you.

1. Hair Length
Ensure your hair is about 1/4 inch long (approximately 3 weeks of growth after shaving).
2. Exfoliate
Gently exfoliate your skin a day or two before your appointment to remove dead skin cells.
3. No Lotions or Oils
Avoid applying lotions, oils, or creams on the day of your waxing session.
4. Wear Comfortable Clothing
Choose loose, comfortable clothing to avoid irritation after waxing.
5. Avoid Heat Exposure
Steer clear of sunbathing, tanning beds, and saunas before your appointment.

Everyone’s pain tolerance is different, but you can expect a short, stinging sensation after the strip is pulled. If you are worried about being sensitive, taking an ibuprofen or aspirin about 30 minutes before your appointment or using numbing cream should minimize your discomfort (consult with your physician before taking medications). Continuous waxing causes finer and less hair therefore waxing becomes less painful.

We use three (3) different types of wax. We have a hard wax that shrink-wraps and hardens around the hair and lifts from the skin creating a less painful removal; a more traditional soft wax which is removed by using a cloth strip; and a soy-based hair remover for clients with more sensitive skin. UNFORTUNELY, WE DO NOT OFFER ANY SORT OF SUGAR WAXING.

No, waxing actually has the opposite effect. Hair that is removed at the roots grows in finer and softer over time.

These medications increase the rate at which your skin exfoliates so waxing could potentially remove the skin as well as hair. Please let your esthetician know immediately if you are on any medications. Also, be aware that chemical peels, laser, and microdermabrasion can also affect skin integrity.

Of course! Being on your menstrual cycle is not a cause for you to reschedule your appointment. All clients will still be able to be seen as long as they have a fresh tampon in during the waxing treatment.

Please, don’t shave between waxing appointments. This makes the hair resistant to future waxing. The first couple of waxes may not be perfect and you may not be super smooth if you’ve shaved in the past. Hair grows in cycles and at different lengths especially if you have been shaving for a long time. At the time of your first wax there will be really short hairs and long hairs, and there will also be some breakage resulting in the hair failing to lift from the root when being pulled. So, be patient. As you continue to wax, the hair volume and thickness of hair is lessened, and it will be much easier to get all the hair off. This is how you get the results you want! If you see any random hairs, you may tweeze but three (3) days after the waxing. Then smile and bear with it until the next time you come see us.

A bikini 3 sides wax includes all hair that can be seen while wearing underwear to give you a nice clean look without going bare. A bikini 3 sides+ or extended bikini wax resembles a high cut bikini where a portion of hair is removed from the top of the bikini line. The sides of the bikini line are waxed about 1 ½ inches inward from the inguinal line. A small portion of hair is removed from the sides of the vaginal lips. We do not remove hair from the labia or in between the buttocks. A Brazilian wax includes everything front and back, and the client has the option of having a landing strip.

YES! Everyone deserves to stay smooth! We offer full body waxing for both men and women.

There is nothing to be ashamed or embarrassed about. We know that our clients are mature adults and we are professionals that want our clients to know and understand that erections can happen during the wax due to many reasons. It will not be an issue for your esthetician, but we do ask that you remain respectful of our staff.

To keep your skin smooth and irritation-free after waxing, follow these aftercare recommendations:

1. Avoid Heat, Sweat, and Intimacy
For the next 24-48 hours, avoid hot showers, saunas, tanning, heavy workouts, and any intimate activities. Your skin is more sensitive and needs time to recover.
2. Keep It Clean & Simple
Skip harsh soaps, fragrances, and scrubs for the first day. Use gentle, fragrance-free cleansers and pat your skin dry.
3. No Touching or Picking
Avoid touching or scratching the waxed area to prevent irritation and breakouts.
4. Wear Loose Clothing
Opt for soft, breathable fabrics to minimize friction and allow your skin to breathe.
5. Exfoliate (But Not Yet!)
Wait 2-3 days before exfoliating to prevent ingrown hairs, then exfoliate 2-3 times a week with a gentle scrub or exfoliating mitt.
6. Stay Hydrated & Moisturize
Drink plenty of water and apply a lightweight, fragrance-free moisturizer to soothe and hydrate your skin.
7. Avoid Swimming & Chlorine
Stay out of pools, hot tubs, and the ocean for at least 24-48 hours to prevent irritation and infection.
8. No Shaving Between Waxes
Shaving between waxes can disrupt your hair growth cycle. Stick to regular waxing for the best results.
If you experience redness or irritation, apply a soothing gel like aloe vera and avoid any harsh products. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out.
